To quote our dear friend Val: "Blah Blah Blah blog absence. Blah blah blah sorry about that. Blah blah blah, who cares, right? Moving on."
Happy Halloween everyone!
David and I have had a pretty laid-back day. We've been watching a few moderately scary movies and starting the birthday festivities for David. We really aren't super in to Halloween but this year we decided to carve a pumpkin! Our first as a married couple and David's first ever (?!?!). We had pretty grand plans of carvings super awesome pumpkins but, in the end, settled for a pretty simple design.
Here's the giant pumpkin David picked out. It had a ton of seeds so we tried our hand at roasting them and they turned out pretty good! And because David has never carved a pumpkin before, the task of cleaning it out fell to me. Fun. Luckily, I had Beesly to help.
She bailed however, when I started to trace the pattern onto the pumpkin.
After I finished, David started carving! Look at that concentration....
And, just because we think she's pretty cute, here is a picture of what Beesly was doing most of the evening:
Voila! Here is our "Vampire Kool-aid Man":
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
