Thursday morning before David left for work it became pretty apparent to us both that Jonah was definitely not feeling well. He wasn't his usual happy self and had a terrible cough that had kept us all up most of the night.
We called the doctor to see what they recommended and didn't get much help. "They're isn't much we can do," the nurse told David. "If he starts turning red or purple when he coughs, go ahead and bring him in though."
Gee. Thanks.
Jonah and I toughed it out the rest of the day, but this morning I was determined that we were going to see a doctor. Jonah's cough had been terrible and I could hear him starting to wheeze each time he took a breath.

Off to the doctor we all went {David felt pretty crummy too and spent his sick day at Jonah's doctor. Fun?}. And I am so glad I insisted we go in. Jonah has an ear infection. And croup.

The tried a breathing treatment, but it didn't seem to improve his breathing. So we were sent off with lots of prescriptions and instructions to come back in if he didn't improve over the weekend.

When we finally got home, we gave the baby his meds {he took them like a champ!} and snuggled on the couch where he promptly fell asleep on my chest. {Perk to having a sick baby: extra snuggles.}
Today I am especially thanking for doctors and prescriptions and pharmacies that help me keep my baby healthy. We're blessed.
