On October 4th, just ONE day after his 15th month "birthday", Jonah started walking.
I needed to get a few things done, so I let him play with my keys. I heard his jabbering away, throwing the keys and then picking them up. I turned around to watch, and saw him try to walk. Immediately, I dropped what I was doing to pay attention. After just a few minutes, he was walking! He would throw the keys far away, walk to go get them, and then repeat the process all over again.
For awhile, he was crab-walking a lot. He couldn't really control what direction he wanted to go for very long, so there was a lot of turning in circles and side-stepping. But after just a day, he had it down cold.
He's hardly crawling at all anymore {which I miss a little}. He's walking and loving the independence. We're so proud of him!
Below are a few videos. They aren't the greatest quality because it's really difficult to take a good video while you're watching in AMAZEMENT that your little baby is walking around like it's no big deal {and trying to make sure he doesn't careen into the pointy fireplace or face plant on the hard, wooden floors}. However, we did the best we could.
Enjoy!
