This Thanksgiving marked a pretty important milestone for David and I. It was the first year since we've been married that we spent the holiday by ourselves AND it was the first time that I have attempted to fix an entire Thanksgiving meal.
I think both David and I were pretty nervous, but it turned out great! I love cooking and it was fun to think through all the shopping and prep work that had to be done days before hand. I ran into a few minor snags (such as sweet potatoes covering my kitchen wall!) but mostly things turned out perfectly.

And here is David tearing apart biscuits and cornbread into millions of pieces for the delicious dressing recipe his mom provided (it was wonderful, Phyllis! Thank you so much!)
And here is everything all finished! We made enough food to feed us for at least a week. Next time, we might plan that out a bit better.
