During the start of the holiday season, David and I both have to reign each other in when it comes to Christmas. Around the first or second week of November, we both start hinting at turning on the Christmas music. We always manage to hold off until the day after Thanksgiving, however. It's our favorite time of year.
This year, David and I hopped out of bed (around noon), braved the Black Friday crowd, and went to buy a Christmas tree from Home Depot. We've gotten a real tree every year and love going to pick it out together!

I really wanted the poinsettias to take the place of the flowers in the picnic basket, but I could not figure out how to do it. Enter my hero David! He managed to Macgyver a solution in just a few seconds.
And here is our beautiful tree!
After we finished decorating the apartment, David decided to test out our fireplace. It's the first time we have had a fireplace, so we were really excited to finally get to use it. We loved sitting down by the fire and listening to Christmas music while we relaxed.
