I love this age, Jonah. Honestly, every month and stage has been wonderful. Each stage I think that this surely must be my favorite. And every new stage makes me change my mind. Right now your daddy and I are loving you in toddler-hood.
You are learning so many new words every day. You love to parrot what Daddy and I are saying and you remember to tuck it away to use and surprise us later. You notice when things you say {or do} make us laugh and you get such a big grin on your face when they do. You're using several full sentences now. Most are short: "Where's Beesly/Mama/Daddy"; "Ee two, mama" {"thank you, Mama"}; "There it is", etc. At church today you asked "Where did Daddy go?" completely clearly and it nearly knocked me over I was so surprised. Some things I like to hear you say lately are words you can't quite pronounce yet: Ee two {thank you}, eat-mo {oatmeal}, and no-gurt {yogurt}. However, my absolute favorite is "Luh-eww" {love you}, which you say so sweetly.
You're such a sweet boy. You love to cuddle Daddy and I and give hugs and kisses throughout the day: prompted and not. I love seeing what a sweet spirit you have! You're also very rough and tumble. You love to climb and run and be outside. You wrestle with Beesly and love being tickled {and love tickling us!}
You're still mostly in 18 month clothes, although those are getting a little snug. I'm sure we'll be moving you up soon, but the 24 month clothes look so big! No new teeth this month, although admittedly you don't have a lot left to come in.
You seem to be coming out of your "no" phase now. You still say it frequently, but you've learned that "yes" is a good word too. Plus, it tends to make Daddy and I quite a bit happier.
I have been feeling a little under the weather lately and, as a result, we have gotten to watch a few movies together. You love cuddling up with me, watching a movie and eating raspberries or popcorn. Lately your absolute favorite has been Tangled {you call it Tay-gled or 'Punzel'}. You love the baby at the very beginning and will talk about her throughout the movie. You think Max is hilarious and love the floating lanterns too. We also point out different things in the movie that you know the names for {water, horse, baby, cake, etc}. We introduced you to The Incredibles just a few days ago and you seem to like it. It has a lot more "baby" in it, but I think Jack-Jack turning into a flaming demon at the end weirds you out a little bit. We've also tried Finding Nemo, which you're learning to love as well. Must be all the fish!
For Christmas your Grandma Phyllis got you foam letters to play with in the bathtub. We've been using them more this month and you love them. You're having such a good time learning different letters and showing off which ones you know. Right now the ones you know well are j, k, l, t, b, and o. You're so proud of yourself when you spot them in the bathtub and you're starting to spot them out in the world too: on Mama's and Daddy's shirts, in books, or on Word World.
