For as long as David and I have been together, Christmas has been a big deal. It's our favorite time of year and we have many {many} traditions that punctuate the season. Watching specific movies on specific days, looking at Christmas lights, listening to certain CDs, attending Christmas Eve service, participating in Advent, and setting up the tree are just some of the things that we look forward to every year.

We were so excited to share it all with Jonah.

Admittedly, he's a little young to appreciate most of our traditions. And, because having a five month-old doesn't lend itself well to sitting uninterrupted for two hours, we've had to skip our Christmas movies this year {except watching 'Christmas Vacation'. That simply couldn't be missed}.
But there are other things that Jonah certainly does appreciate about Christmastime. He loves the bright lights on the Christmas tree and really enjoys playing with and ringing the silver bells that decorate our house. It's so much fun to watch him grab a bell with those tiny hands and shake it as hard as he can.
We spent this Christmas with the Yorks in Oklahoma {with a special Christmas Eve appearance from the Senfs!}. It was nice to finally make a trip up to see them and especially nice to spend Christmas with them. They were excited to love on Jonah and get some quality time with their grandbaby.
We weren't sure what to expect when Christmas morning came around. And even though he's just a baby, I think he had a blast. He opened presents and played with toys and even managed to take a nice nap after all the festivities were completed.

{He loves it!}

It was a wonderful Christmas and we were so happy to spend it with family. We hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas as well!
