Up All Night- The Growing Prysocks

Starting Solids?

Filed under: , , by: David and Stephanie

David and I are thinking about starting Jonah on solids.

I've been putting it off for awhile because technically babies don't need to start solids until they're about six months old. Plus, Jonah didn't seem to be that interested in the process. {At least that's what I told myself.} He has been 100% content with nursing. {Perhaps denial.}

So today, after he tried to jack my milkshake at Mooyah, we decided that we might need to pick up a high chair.

A few dollars later {consignment store. holla!}, we have a high chair.

It. Is. Awesome.

Jonah LOVES it. He has been hanging out in it all day perfectly content. Amazing.

In fact, for your viewing pleasure, here is what Jonah thinks of his high chair:

{Insert obligatory "my baby is growing up too fast" comment here}

Since he loves his high chair, I thought I'd see what he thought about pretend eating. I mean, one of the recommendations for starting solids is that the baby leans in to take the food, therefore this was not completely insane {Again, denial}.

So. Here is what Jonah thinks about "eating" from a spoon:

Not sure how this is gonna go.

But we'll keep you updated.
